This one came to us from JMH Design, a builder–developer with a vision: turn a tired post-war house in Brisbane’s north into something light-filled, polished, and market-ready.
Our role? Bring the interiors to life in a way that felt refined, timeless, and easy to fall in love with—whether you’re walking through on auction day or just seeing it online.
A Blank Slate with Potential
The original home had character, but it was dark, awkwardly laid out, and past its prime. So it came down—and in its place, a new two-storey build with better flow, better light, and a much clearer sense of purpose.
We worked closely with the builder to make sure every interior choice was doing more than just looking good. This was about creating a home that would feel calm, cohesive and easy to imagine yourself in—no matter who the future buyer turned out to be.
Soft Neutrals, Strong Foundations
We kept the palette tonal and calm: think off-white cabinetry, soft oak timber floors, brushed gunmetal fixtures and natural textures layered throughout.
In the kitchen, clean lines and generous storage keep things feeling airy and uncluttered. The island bench anchors the space—perfect for school lunches, late-night chats, and everything in between.
The bathrooms? Modern, timeless and family-friendly. A soft concrete look tile, freestanding tub, and double vanities create a sense of calm (even during the morning rush).
Every room has a job to do—and it does it beautifully.
Detail-Led, Purpose-Driven
Every material was chosen for a reason. Handmade Zellige tiles bring texture to quiet corners. Joinery details feel just a little bit special. And the layout flows in a way that just makes sense—from the mudroom at the entry to the peaceful upstairs retreat.
This wasn’t about chasing trends—it was about designing a home that would grow with its people.
